Saundersfoot Celebration of all things Cawl

Saundersfoot’s legendary annual Cawl Trail returns next March. Can The BoatHouse retain its crown?  It’s up to you to decide!  Take part in the trail, taste the cawl around venues in the village and vote for your favourite. There is a lot on besides cawl – including music and a village trail for the children – it’s a brilliant family day out.  Keep the date free and check Facebook and our website for updates.

Timetable of events:

11:00 am - Doors open at Regency Hall
                   for the sale of Cawl bowls (£7 per bowl)

12:00—2:30pm - Participating venues serve cawl

(Venues this year are:-
The Regency, The Old Chemist Inn, The Salvage Bar, Periwinkle,
Beachside Barbecue, The Boat House, Marina Fish, Chips and more)

3:00pm - Deadline for return of voting slips (hand in at Regency Hall)

3:30pm - Announcement of this year’s Cawl Trail champions

Throughout the event:

• Dragon Trail - find the dragons, they’re hiding in the village. FREE. Entry forms can be collected from the Regency Hall 11am onwards

• Live music and Afternoon tea at the Regency Hall

Saundersfoot is host to a wide range of clubs, organisations and events. A few are taking part in our first Village Showcase at the Regency Hall. Come along and find out what they’re all about, chat to members and organisers and maybe even join in!

Events and organisations include: 

Saundersfoot Chamber for Tourism - a not-for-profit organisation, run by volunteers representing a wide range of tourist based businesses in the village. SCT organises many events in the village - including this one! www.visitsaundersfootbay.com

Saundersfoot & District Historical Society - monthly meetings, third Wednesday of the month 7:30pm at Regency Hall. Non members welcome. www.saundersfoothistory.org.uk

Saundersfoot Triathlon - September 8th - ideal event for ‘first timers’. This event is organised by Activity Wales Events www.activitywalesevents.com

Saundersfoot Footlights - run two productions each year, a summer show and a pantomime. Everyone welcome to join in - on the stage, behind the stage or in front as the audience! www.saundersfootamdram.co.uk

New Year’s Day Swim - this annual event has become hugely popular, raising thousands of pounds for charity. It’s great fun - will you brave the waves? www.saundersfootnyds.co.uk

Macmillan Cancer Support Pembrokeshire - organises events including Welsh Cake Day, quiz nights and last year’s very successful ’Strictly Come Dancing’ event in the Regency Hall. www.macmillan.org.uk

Cancer Research - organises events such as quiz nights (next on March 9th), carol concert and a stall at the weekly Tuesday market held at the Regency Hall from mid March to December. www.cancerresearchuk.org

A joint production by SCT and The Regency Hall featuring
The South Wales Gay Men’s Chorus supported by the ever-popular 'Fiddlebox' 

This award winning and innovative male voice choir from Cardiff were crowned Festival Champions at the Cornwall International Male Choral competition in May 2017.

They sing a wide selection of both classical welsh and modern songs.  A moving and enjoyable evening is guaranteed from this entertaining and dedicated choir.
